The Stockport County Manager
was guest of honour at the launch
of the open air gym.
The Shaw Heath Park Project has been in progress since 11th
February 2009 with the support from Stockport Council and
Groundwork. An outdoor gym has been built for the use of the local community and students from Stockport College.
Students from Stockport College have been involved on a weekly basis under the guidance of project leaders Helen Collins and Rachel-Ann Brooks who have overseen the development of the
project and contributed to ongoing activities including Wood Sculpture with Tim Burgess, Film making with Marlon Davies, Website design with Daniel Clarke of Devote Associates and Arts projects for the notice board with staff from The Action Factory.
